(Junior) Open Water Scuba Diver

Just imagine where you will go! Begin your underwater explorations by enrolling in a NAUI Scuba Diver class. This is our entry-level certification course where you will learn the fundamental knowledge and skills to safety dive in open water.

Earning your NAUI Scuba Diver Certification card is an accomplishment for which you will rightfully feel proud and you will be ready to begin a lifetime of underwater adventures and discovering.

NAUI

During your NAUI Scuba Diver class, you will learn about modern dive equipment, diving sciences, responsible diving practices and the environment. Diving skills will be taught and practiced first in the comfort and convenience of a confined water environment and finally during your open water training dives with your NAUI Instructor.

Getting started is easy! Individuals in good physical condition may enroll in a NAUI Scuba Diver course. Signing up for a class is easy, while wetsuits and fun await!

Upon successful completion of this course, graduates are certified and considered competent to engage in open water diving activities without supervision, provided the diving activities and the areas dived approximate those of training.

Curriculum

Participants should be able to comfortably demonstrate novice swimming ability.
Academics have a duration of 14 hours.
The course extends over a period of 5 days and includes a minimum of 4 open water dives.

Continue your training by enrolling in a NAUI Advanced Scuba Diver or any NAUI Specialty course except the NAUI Wreck Diver and the NAUI Deep Diver course.
